Oversharing

Dasha Altukhova and other artists

3 July 2026 19:00 – 5 July 2026 19:00
Overshared is a participatory photography project exploring body, gender, and self-representation through self-portraiture. It asks what happens when we reveal parts of ourselves that are usually hidden, and how photography can reflect the way we truly see ourselves.

The project is of a group of artists experimenting with self-portrait tools as a way of self-discovery, developing their own visual and verbal language of “oversharing.”. A series of photographic posters installed around the neighbourhood in shop and café windows and on city walls.

The posters present intimate fragments of the body or authentic portraits, accompanied by short personal statements from the artists. By placing these acts of vulnerability in public space, Overshared reflects on contemporary cultures of sharing and questions the limits of what is considered acceptable to reveal about ourselves.
