The fact is that Pina Berlin mixes everything, it's the question mark in her music. The fact is that Pina was in the wrong film in her old job, got a thousand ideas for song arrangements at work and after 12 years in architecture ended up in burn-out, finally found her way to music. Quitting, never looking back. A success story that she finally recorded and released her album? That she finally studies jazz vocal and music&movement? Or a fail for not managing the work-life balance and only making music as a hobby as planned? All perceptions. The fact is that her chronic illness, fibromyalgia, has finally gone since she was made redundant. She was born and raised in Turkey as Pinar Tatlikazan, and her dream of making music in Berlin became her stage name when she was still leading a double life. Her songs travel through cultural and professional identities, inspirations and struggles against societal expectations. Root? For Pina, it's Chet Baker, Norah Jones, Tarkan, Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Shakira. The external perception when she moved to Germany was different. Does she want to represent something? No. She has tried enough to explain the diversity and contrasts of her origin. Now she just does it with her music.
