The Edible Mural is one of Food of War's flagship projects, encouraging collaboration with locals to create a participatory artwork that stimulates the senses. It emerges from collaborative workshops with members of the community.
Neukölln’s edible mural will capture complex and historically significant events which have shaped creative and political discourse. The urban space breaks its silence and invites the audience to experience street art like never before. It will shed light on often overlooked narratives that have shaped modern culture.
As an inherently creative and politically engaged neighbourood, Neukölln has witnessed the development of social conscience movements, many of it’s walls bear messages of hope. The edible mural will be and addition to these…it will feed the hopeful.
The viewpoints expressed in this piece reflect a mix of voices from individuals experiencing the community, from Neuköllners to newcomers. We invite you to join us for culinary delights and stimulating discussions.
