(un)cover

Elizaveta Bogachova, Sebastian Alten, Josephine Boger

3 July 2026 19:00–21:00 4 July 2026 11:00–17:00
The exhibition (un)cover, featuring works by Sebastian Alten, Elizaveta Bogachova, and Josephine Boger, explores themes of mortality, death, and supporting people through farewells. Moving within the tension between emotional experience and the often unseen processes behind the scenes, the works on display focus both on grief, intimacy, and personal spaces of memory, as well as on the practical, structuring work carried out in the context of death and burial.
They offer insights into a reality that is rarely visible to the public: spaces, gestures, and routines that provide orientation and guide transitions. In their works the artists explore the innumerable layers of finitude.

Biography

Elizaveta Bogachova, Sebastian Alten, Josephine Boger

Elizaveta Bogachova, a conceptual artist and photographer, queer and of mixed origins, explores liminal spaces shaped by exile, queerness, and displacement, blending digital and analogue methods to examine medium, material, perception, identity, placemaking, and existence.

Sebastian Alten, photographer, focuses on natural and man-made landscapes, their borders and intersections; the works on display are searching for traces in the personal history of the artist, trying to preserve memories and pass them on from one generation to another.

Josephine Boger is a multi-media artist and mortician that explores the fragility of being human and how humanity perceives itself in it's environment through installations and drawings.
