100 Bookmarks

The new series of bookmarks consists of 100 new drawings. In the weeks before 48h Neukölln the Azzurra Cecchini will disseminate her bookmarks in the streets of Neukölln. In her daily derives through the neighborhood, whenever she encounters forgotten, abandoned books for take away, the books will invisibly include her drawings as bookmark. A coincidental dialogue unfolds between the silent language of the drawings and the silent letters of the randomly dispersed books; two languages meet that speak in silence, writing and drawing.
All 100 dispersed bookmarks will be on view in the showcase of Buchbund. On Saturday the bookshop is open and the artist will be present.

Biography
Azzurra Cecchini
Azzurra Cecchini is an artist with a background in architecture. Her minimal drawings often thrive in the phantasmagorical foldings oft public space, creating an almost invisible mesh of intertwined images and stories.
