silent rhythms
“When the city is silent, I can hear my steps on the cobblestones. It’s like meditation; I realize my body is making sound; therefore, I exist. In the silence, I can hear myself. “
“When the city is silent, I imagine paradise; the surrounding becomes visual poetry, and I can feel it with my own body. An oasis where I sense every moment more sharply.”
“When the city is silent, I think about singularity, an alone-ness. The individual, alone but surrounded by people, it’s the emblem of a big city.”
Imagine the rhythm we would be creating if we could blend all our singular silences. Silence becomes a dynamic space where people’s reflections, encounters, and ideas find a place.
Bottega 5 presents a concept that explores the realm of urban silence. We are committed to discovering and reinterpreting the complex stories of the human psyche and body in urban spaces. This idea of a silent city is like a canvas where profound connections between people, or between yourself, are becoming known and coming to light. By transforming our understanding of the urban environment, we can improve the human experience within it.
The city is a painting where individuals who exist alone appear but are surrounded by the constant buzz of humanity. Nevertheless we believe the landscape of the city is filled with places where people are experiencing their silence already.
As part of the urban experience we are a dynamic group of individuals where each of us has a personal interpretation of urban silence. We wish to create an environment where there is respect and support for other forms of silence and where people can honestly listen to one another. Our idea of silence is a recharging pulse between the chaotic noise of daily existence.
We believe there are unlimited possibilities of urban silence for each of us if we are only open to see those.
