From the beginning of our lives, we are confronted with certain ideas about how we are supposed to think and behave in order to be socially acceptable. In doing so, we internalize artificial norms that can conflict with our true selves.
The exhibition ,,The liberation from inner boundaries" aims to encourage us to question our inner boundaries and create the opportunity to recognize and dissolve them.
The artworks themselves were created from an inner intention to consciously overcome one's own standardized patterns of thought. Through the use of ,,wrong" colors, distorted proportions, surreal scenes, the visualization of socially critical themes, and a provocative representation of femininity, the artworks challenge us to allow ourselves boundless creativity and freedom of self.
The exhibition includes both artworks and accompanying texts and poems that deal with spiritual as well as social and socio-critical contexts. The combination of words and images creates an overall atmospheric experience and is thus intended to express the comprehensive artistic intention: the conscious liberation from inner boundaries.

Biography
Kobowali
I am a self-taught artist from Berlin. My pseudonym Kobowali stands for a colorful, playful universe of surreal characters and my own symbolism. Using neon colors, clean lines, and intuitive shapes, I explore spiritual and socially critical themes, among other things, and advocate for female empowerment, body positivity, love, peace, and freedom - always with a light and playful approach. Language and words also often underpin my work. My pieces are meant to encourage people to be true to themselves and to live their own identities colorfully and courageously.
