The works "Flowers are Forever" by Lisa Lemke are serial collages that are an ongoing project since the beginning of 2023.
The collages combine scanography with digital processing by scanning flowers and plants that she has either discovered on walks or received as gifts, processing them into collages and then altering them using Photoshop. She likes to use lively, cheerful colours that deliberately form a contrast to the omnipresent grey city sky. The collages allow the artist, but also the viewer, to create surreal and peaceful worlds - a conscious escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The collages will be shown in the following two locations:

1) Alphonse Bar, Sanderstr. 2 Fri 19-24 h, Sat 15-24 h, Sun 15-19 h
2) Pannierstr. 57 Fr 19-24 h, Sat 12-24 h, Sun 12-19 h

Biography

Lisa Lemke, born and raised in Berlin, showed a keen interest in art from an early age. She experimented with both the camera and painting before studying fine art in the Netherlands and motion design in Berlin. Her passion for both analogue and digital art has remained steadfast throughout her journey.
After graduating, Lisa worked in various agencies and was involved in projects such as paintings, collages and experimental video productions. It was only during a difficult phase that she realised how important a creative outlet was to her. Since then, she has devoted much more time to this aspect.
In the summer of 2023, Lisa proudly showcased her works in both physical and online exhibitions for the first time, eagerly anticipating what the future holds.
