The jointly curated exhibition by the artists Ariane Kipp, Merit Fakler, and Vera Leisibach at Studio Ariane Kipp brings together three positions that engage with perception, boundary, and transformation. Together, the three positions form a multilayered tableau that unsettles and sensitizes perception, making the connection between overload, wonder, and responsibility tangible.

Vera Leisibach's animation takes up the festival theme OUT/SIDE/IN and makes boundaries tangible as fragile phenomena of perception. In a structure of insects, plants, and organic structures, kaleidoscopic movements emerge, pulsating, flowing, destabilized; orientation — up and down, proximity and distance — dissolves and flows into one another. The resulting overload reflects the difficulty of perceiving and enduring issues such as insect decline.

Merit Fakler complements this perspective with cinematic works that open up spaces for calm and reflection within an accelerated media world. Using self-shot material, she creates richly colored, continuously transforming visual worlds and investigates formations, tempos, and the inner logic of visual processes.

Ariane Kipp integrates elements of the exterior space into the studio and develops installations that disrupt habitual ways of seeing and thinking. The outside is brought inward, the inside opened outward—an intervention that creates new perceptual spaces and invites viewers to see and think differently.
