The Hasenheide is an approximately 50-hectare park in the Berlin district of Neukölln on the border with Kreuzberg.
The name of the park goes back to the use of the area as a hare enclosure from 1678. The Great Elector used to hunt here. From 1816 to 1821, the Hasenheide, together with the Weichbild of the city of Berlin and the Tiergarten, belonged to the small, short-lived administrative district of Berlin.
