Sound refers to vibrations or waves traveling through air and other mediums, which are heard upon reaching an individual. Silence, on the other hand, is the absence of sound. Therefore, we come to concur that silence is just a personal experience and therefore an illusion, complete silence does not exist, specially in the urban context, sounds are predetermined by the city itself. The conception of silence is a personal state of mind, an individual chooses what silence represents for them. As the variety of sounds is broadened in the urban context, an individual has to define their experience of silence.

In this work, we show a set of limited series of handmade prints that embeds the illusion of silence and its relationship with sound in an urban context. Silence is represented by images of seemingly quite places which becomes alive through movement, the idea of vibrations of waves.
