Reflecting on fatherhood through art and dialogue

Alexander Schütz, Céline Pilch, Daniel Arias Medina, Jonas Frölicher, Milan Otte, Philipp Kaufhold, Tim Quijano

4 July 2026 10:00–14:00 5 July 2026 10:00–13:00
The exhibition showcases the results of a series of workshops that took place at the Kindervilla Neukölln this spring. Over the course of several weeks, six fathers met every Sunday to discuss fatherhood. The workshops focused on exchange and reflection. The fathers talked about their thoughts, concerns and experiences, translating the dialogue into an artistic form. The resulting works include cyanotypes, photo collages, and black-and-white photographs. Artist Céline Pilch guided the process.

The exhibition is on the first floor of Kindervilla Neukölln. Children are very welcome. The location is a little hidden. Walk across the courtyard, past the Tanzhaus, through a small gate and then turn left. It's best to follow the signs.

On Sunday, there will be a cyanotype workshop for families from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. No registration is required. Just stop by!

Céline Pilch is an artist, media scholar, and educator. Her practice encompasses two areas: on one hand, she creates independent artworks by attentively observing her surroundings and working with what she encounters, stories, conversations, and collected materials such as plants or discarded objects. She combines both digital and analog techniques in this process. On the other hand, she develops art education projects in collaboration with various institutions and teaches experimental and analog photography at the University of Potsdam as well as in the photo lab of the youth center Die Weiße Rose in Schöneberg.
