Open Studios - Lahnstrasse 17.

Rula Ali, Timo Herbst, Sisi Lence, Anna Mészáros

29 June 2024 14:00–21:00
Four artists from Lahnstr. 17 – Rula Ali, Timo Herbst, Sisi Lence, and Anna Mészáros – will open their studios to visitors.

Rula Ali used textile and clothing conceptually to express her ideas to show the connection between the material and the concept. Her interest in fabric as a rich material representing cultural heritage led her to experiment with different textile techniques and express her identity.
She dedicated her artworks to highlighting socio-political issues concerning dialogue, heterogeneity, and communication between different cultures and political borders. At the same time, she focuses on the space taken and controlled by the power fluctuation of
politics.

Timo Herbst’s interdisciplinary practice takes movements or choreographies from the artistic, everyday and political spheres as the starting point for multimedia installations that include drawing, video and sculpture.

Sisi Lence works with drawing, painting and video.

Anna Mészáros’ practice moves between fields of sculpture, installation, image-based processes and textual research. Her work is shaped by engagements with entangled spaces: she concentrates situations that carry traces of different contexts.
