Right to the City plans a weekend-long celebration at their AGIT home during 48 Hours Neukölln, kicking off on Friday night. This will include a welcome speech by member activists, followed by musical acts.

Saturday's programme continues with community quilt-making, screen printing, documentary screenings and a collaborative exhibition. An information booth on the Deutsche Wohnen & Co Enteignen (DWE) campaign runs throughout the weekend.

On Sunday, you can get to know Neukölln through a political lens on a walking tour by Nathaniel Flakin of Revolutionary Berlin. Afterwards, the monthly Tenant Support Forum will run the workshop "Who's your Landlord".

16:00 - 18:00 Screenprinting workshop Learn the art of screen printing and walk away with an original piece, printed with a motif of your choice.

19:00 - 22:00 R2C Kino presented by Mokum Kraakt! from Amsterdam
Our comrades from Mokum Kraakt! are visiting. They will present themselves and their work, and show the movie "Hotel Mokum", directed by Yannesh Meijman (30'). After this, we will also be screening "Start Wearing Purple", a film about the DWE campaign.



Sunday:
11:00 - 13:00 Walking tour Neukölln by Revolutionary Berlin

A deep dive into red Neukölln with Nathaniel Flakin. Uncovering the unwritten history of organization and resistance in the neighborhood.

14:00 - 16:00 Tenant's Support Forum with workshop "Who's your Landlord?"

Landlords hide to remain unaccountable. Find out how to fight back, find out who your landlord is. A special edition of Right to the City's Tenant's Support Forum, a monthly gathering of tenants who engage in peer support to resist exploitative practices in their housing.

Right To The City & Friends

Right to the City (R2C) is a collective of organizers, activists and local artists working to build housing justice in Berlin as part of the larger Deutsche Wohnen & Co Enteignen campaign. With their broader community of musicians, comedians, dancers and visual artists, R2C will engage the Neukölln community on housing issues.
