"Pisces and Peace"

Vivian Babeliow studied painting at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Her artistic practice includes objects, videos, sound and digital images. The works created with different media interact with each other in spaceforming installations. In them, Babeliow deals with current events as a continuum of domination that should be counteracted with poetry. She sees her work as a form of dialogue that requires active reception. The aim of this dia- logue is to raise awareness of social dysfunctions. At the same time, the spaces created by Babeliow make an offer of empathy in order to counteract the increasingly frequent brutalization of existing discourses.
