The Seasonal Artists

The Seasonal Artists is a participatory creative workshop. Once per season, we gather to explore how nature transforms Berlin and us. This edition: summer! Rooted in the idea that nature's cycles mirror our inner rhythms, we weave collective and individual creation together. Shared work becomes personal, and personal work feeds back into the shared.

Unfolding across four alternating rounds, we move between two modes of creation. In the painting rounds, we work collectively on shared canvases and postcards, building a visual archive of the season. In the collage rounds, that shared material becomes the raw resource to cut, reassemble, and turn into personal fanzines that carry traces of the collective.

45 minutes each, starting on the hour. Painting at 15:00 and 17:00, collage at 16:00 and 18:00. Join one or stay for all. Whatever you create becomes material for what follows.
Together, we'll produce two collective artworks, a digital zine and a video archive, to be shared after the festival as a trace of this summer.

No artistic experience needed! Everyone is welcome, even if the last time you picked up coloured pencils was in school.
