“Threads of silence'' is an interactive, interdisciplinary and site-specific performance that combines dance, live photography, installation and audience participation. It revolves around the need of finding our individual silence within a society based on loudness. It is aimed to inspire deep listening as a means to connect to others.
The work can be experienced from all perspectives, with the freedom to choose where to sit, stand, or move. Like a safe island for reflection and introspection within the vibrant neighborhood of Neukölln, in this relaxed performance setting, the audience is welcome to enjoy for as much time as they feel, or stay for the whole experience from beginning to end.
At the closing of the performance, the public is invited to take part in a ceremonial celebration of a newfound sense of community through the collective creation of a site-specific installation that will remain in the space.

Giorgia Bovo and Alice Brunello Luise
Giorgia Bovo and Alice Brunello Luise.
We are a newly formed duo consisting of a dancer/choreographer and a mixed media artist/photographer. As independent artists, we have presented our work in several prestigious venues and platforms including NFT Festival Berlin, Helsinki Urban Art, e-Luminate Festival in Cambridge, Palazzo della Permanente in Milan, Periapsis Music and Dance in New York City and ENDO Violence Magazyn.We are currently researching an innovative way to combine our individual practices to create a new language aimed at touching a diverse audience regardless of their age, gender, abilities and cultural background.
