Second Skin: Clothing Between Body and World

Cristina Pareschi

3 July 2026 19:00 – 4 July 2026 20:00
Welcome to a colorful world, where clothing is more than just clothing – it becomes a medium, a boundary, and a space for play.

For the festival, an artistic installation is presented in which clothing functions as a symbolic and performative medium. Mediating between inside and outside, it reveals how social codes shape the individual and how these codes can be reinterpreted and transformed by the visitors.

The garments are made from recycled materials and suspended in the space. Visitors can try them on or observe them as an installation. Originally discarded pieces are transformed through recycling, appliqués, and new seams, becoming carriers of new meanings. Form and function shift, creating open possibilities in which existing orders are questioned.

Visitors move through the installation, experiencing the clothing as a new skin, and enter a poetic and dynamic world where inside and outside, object and experience are continuously negotiated. The work invites active interaction, reflection, and sensory engagement.
