Between the bones of the land

Performance with Audience Participation // Social Intervention

How can bodies and sounds shift our visual, sonic, and social architecture? How do we create and pay attention to silence in the middle of crosswalks, strangers, and urban nature?

Everyone is invited to join for the entire duration of the intervention (3 hours) or join at different moments at the canal at Wildenbrücke (first 1.5 hours), into a walk to a small forest and a playground at Spielplatz am Weichselplatz (last 1.5 hours).

From afternoon until sunset, dancers and musicians will create disruptive and imaginative scenes of daily life amidst the sound/body/landscapes outside, along the canal at Wildenbrücke, into a walk to a small forest and a playground at Spielplatz am Weichselplatz.

The intervention/performance will build movement and sound with psychosomatic imagery and switching between repetition, intensity, stillness, and silence.

Bodies made of individuals, coming together in group action will be invited to create social architecture and psychosomatic explorations as noise barriers, as protection, as a pathway.

We create silence and forge openings in a city as a moving target in search of the familiar, a sense of rest, loneliness amidst the masses, or a moment to focus into presence like in the relief after an ambulance passes, rushing with others toward a fallen bicyclist, and the muffled protection of the rain. People, cars, and dogs moving are blurred with the senses of sound in the movements of speeding up, standing next to, slowing down, sitting, exercising, and tracking the movements and sounds of thoughts inside one body and one scene.
