Drop-In art workshop "Fluid frames"
art.kru
4 July 2026 14:00–17:00
What happens when solid forms suddenly begin to move? In this workshop, we explore how boundaries shift when viewed from a new perspective.
Found objects from nature, such as dried flowers, tree bark, or pine cones, serve as our starting point. While these objects possess a clear and solid form in direct light, they change fundamentally through the targeted use of flashlights. The shadows projected onto paper cause seemingly fixed outlines to soften, distorting the familiar boundaries of the object and opening a space for new interpretations. These shadow images serve as an artistic foundation to be further developed with pastels. Since this material allows for no hard edges, it is ideal for gently blurring, layering, and transforming shadow boundaries into fluid gradients. In the creative process, the original form is altered and overwritten, allowing a vibrant new visual landscape to emerge from the external shape and your own interpretation.
The workshop utilizes the physical object as an objective and solid base, while its projected shadow acts as a pure interpretation, opening up a realm of subjective freedom and fresh perspectives. Behind this lies the philosophical idea that boundaries are not rigid endpoints, but rather fluid transitions between reality and interpretation, brought to life through the interplay of light and imagination.
This workshop is designed as an open offering where you can join at any time.
• Timeframe: The workshop is open for a total of 3 hours.
• Duration: An individual session takes approximately 30 minutes.
• Participation: Open to everyone interested; no prior artistic experience is required

Hi, I’m Darja. My world revolves around the powerful intersection of art, nature, and psychology.
By day, I work as a Landscape Architect, a profession that allows me to weave my love for aesthetics and the natural world into tangible spaces. But my journey doesn’t stop at the garden gate. My true passion lies in art therapy. After completing my training in this field, I became fascinated by how we can use creative expression to explore the human psyche.
This inspiration flows into every workshop I lead. My goal is to help you reconnect with your inner world by blending the beauty of nature with the healing power of art and psychology.
Let’s find your inner landscape together.
