Liminal Spaces
Sektor FM, Claudia van Hasselt, Luutzen, Jonathan Richter, Valentin Kimstedt, cantamus berlin
3 July 2026 19:00 – 4 July 2026 00:00
Liminal spaces are those thresholds where inside and outside, the familiar and the foreign, structure and openness coexist simultaneously. In this concert, boundaries are not understood as fixed dividing lines but as transitional states: unstable, productive in-between spaces where meanings, perceptions, and relationships shift.
From the start of the festival deep into the evening, the Nikodemus KulturKirche will be continuously filled with sound, without interruption. Various artists unfold an open, processual dramaturgy—without a clear beginning or end—rooted in electronic music and expanded by acoustic instruments and voice. The transitions arising from improvised encounters, fluid transformations between song, jam, and installative passages, are as central as the individual artists’ sets themselves.
Sound acts as a permeable medium between inside and outside, making their interwoven nature tangible. There is no separation between stage and audience. In this open setting, boundaries are not endpoints but spaces of possibility.
