This is my first suitcase. My mom bought it for me almost ten years ago when I was preparing to move to Tehran to study, and now one of its wheels is broken and it is no longer usable; my mom is no longer there, her house is being rented, and when a piece of trash becomes too valuable to throw away, you can always exhibit it.
Biography
Melika Tourchi
Melika Tourchi, born in 1999 in Mashhad, Iran, is a visual artist. In her work, she explores questions of identity and the relationship between the self and the environment. She has a background in visual communication and illustration and has worked on numerous projects in Tehran. In her artistic practice, she explores various media such as printmaking, photography, and photo transfer, and now focuses on the visual arts.
