Co-World: Learning to feel

Lale Willan, Nat Tafelmacher-Magnat und andere Künstler*innen (TBC)

3 July 2026 19:00 – 5 July 2026 19:00
What is the city like from the perspective of an urban animal? What can a stone tell us about our neighbourhood? The exhibition “Mitwelt” invites visitors to view nature and materials as living partners. Artists of all ages explore leftover materials, sounds and places in their “Mitwelt”. The resulting works are created from the perspective of animals, plants or “things”. The results take shape in a process-oriented exhibition that reveals our city as a laboratory for ecological art.

Biography

Lale Willan, Nat Tafelmacher-Magnat und andere Künstler*innen (TBC)

Lale Willan (artist and art educator of Ecocentric Art) transcends dualisms such as nature versus society, utilises waste materials and the circular economy, and incorporates anti-speciesist and animist perspectives. She studied at AKI ArtEZ (Netherlands) and the UdK (M.Ed.), taught there, and exhibits regularly in Berlin, supported in part by the Neustart-Kultur grant.
Nat Tafelmacher-Magnat (artist, art teacher and film educator) combines photography, collage, performance and film to expose the absurdities of everyday life with an ironic eye – thereby unmasking the emotionally detached consumerism that is inexorably devouring nature. She studied at Goldsmiths College (UK) and the UdK (M.Ed.), teaches film and art, and exhibits regularly in Berlin and elsewhere.
