The Junges Tanzhaus Berlin opens its doors to performances, an exhibition, and workshops.
In “Am Rande des Tisches”, choreographer Bahar Meriç invites the audience to a shared meal. Through this social choreography, the work explores questions of community, participation, and coexistence in public space.
The intergenerational exhibition project “BAŠTA” is dedicated to memories and stories from the Bosnian diaspora. Drawing on testimonies from contemporary witnesses, it creates an immersive installation of film, text, sound, and objects that allows visitors to enter different spaces of memory.
The program is complemented by workshops offered by the newly founded company of the Junges Tanzhaus, featuring contemporary dance and urban dance styles for anyone who would like to get moving themselves.

Bahar Meriç is a choreographer, artistic director, and developer of artistic-educational programs at the intersection of dance, cultural education, and social justice. In “Am Rande des Tisches”, she brings together performers Laura Kassé, Polina Sonis, Janna Vakili, and Yurika S. Yamamoto.
Marta Ivkić is part of the team behind un_known, an intersectional arts and culture collective, which focusses on empowering and representing marginalized artists, including FLINTA*, BIPoC, neurodivergent individuals, and other often overlooked voices.
The newly founded JTB Company brings together seven dance practitioners from contemporary and urban dance. The company will be in residence for around ten months and actively contributes to shaping the Junges Tanzhaus Berlin.
