Experiences of womanhood and gendered practices are in constant tension with the structures and expectations imposed by the systems we inhabit. While these systems attempt to define who we are and who we are not allowed to be, we are continuously reshaped through our contradictions, desires, and acts of resistance. In a moment when the boundaries between inside and outside become increasingly blurred, questioning is no longer only an inward gesture; it opens a political space where intersecting experiences, ruptures, and solidarities meet.
This space is not merely a safe ground, but also a site of confrontation where transformation becomes possible. Our artistic practices function as tools within this process. By making visible the stories that exist outside normative frameworks—those that remain in-between, overlooked, or suppressed—we translate forms of resistance into an aesthetic language. Through photography, the body, voice, and performance, experiences that have been rendered invisible by the binary gender regime re-emerge into view.
At a time when imposed forms of belonging are being unsettled, imagining together becomes a political act of existence. In this context, art serves both as witness and as agent of this collective imagination—inviting us not only to reconsider who we are, but to envision who we might become.
A performance will take place on Saturday 4 July at 3 pm.
