The room starts out empty. Upon entering, visitors are invited to set their own boundaries and mark them in the room. It doesn't have to be perfect. It can be a line, a circle, an outline, a word or a small symbol. The only important question is: Where does something begin for me, where does it end? What can be close, what needs distance?

Over time, the white cube fills with black marks. Many individual gestures come together to form a shared map. Side by side, you can see what protects people, what they leave open, where they stop, where they allow transitions.

Finally, on Sunday 5 July, Julian Lager will respond performatively to what is there, starting at 5.30 pm. He paints over, shifts and overlays the boundaries that have been set. Some lines remain visible, others are blurred or condensed. It is not about removing something, but about showing how quickly boundaries change as soon as there is more than one person in the room.

In the end, a blank wall remains as a brief snapshot. An image of how boundaries emerge, become legible and shift again in interaction with one another.
