The 'Show, Don't Tell Collective' (@showdontt_ll) aims to shine a spotlight on emerging talent within Berlin's vibrant artistic scene, whether visual, musical, literary, or performance focused. Our artistic lens is intended to introduce new artists to a broader audience in a welcoming way and promote a message of community. For this years festival, Gina Donner and Aleksandra Oracz have curated 'Waving Connections', an evocative exploration of liminal emotional and physical spaces. Each evening will also be closed by a live musical performance.
With Waving Connections, Gina Donner and Aleksandra Oracz aim to make visible the emotional spaces in which human connections form, shift, or reform. They are interested in connection not as a stable state, but as movement—as a continuous oscillation between closeness and distance, inside and outside, body and feeling.
Their work explores the body as an emotional and energetic resonance space. Figures, forms, and color gradients appear not static, but in transitions, dissolutions, and condensations. Movement becomes a visual expression of inner processes and a means of experiencing connections as something living and mutable.

Gina Donner & Aleksandra Oracz
Gina Donner combines abstract and figurative elements to create multifaceted pictorial spaces in which figures appear in states of reflection, transformation, or dissolution. Her intuitive, multi-layered approach gives rise to visual dialogues about energy, emotion, and the tension between separation and connection in everyday life.
In surreal, atmospheric compositions, Alexandra Oracz explores the transitions between inner perception and outer reality. Her works employ motifs such as water, fragmentation, and doubling to reveal emotional shifts, layers of identity, and the fragile balance between the familiar and the foreign.
