TRANSPARENT PRIVACY

A work that explores the boundary between private and public space in the digital age. For 48 hours, an intimate living space becomes visible and inhabited.
The artist Malu lives performatively inside a transparent glass space. Personal care, cooking, reading, and working — everyday actions that normally take place in private become publicly visible. Daily life becomes performance.
The audience becomes observers and part of a situation in which proximity and distance, public and intimate space are constantly renegotiated.
In further performative moments, the work returns to these questions and invites reflection on personal space in times of social media: What new possibilities emerge? Where do risks lie and how can we protect ourselves?

Biography

Malu Eckhardt

MALU ECKHARDT born in 2002 in Kassel, has been living and working in Berlin since 2023.
A central aspect of her artistic practice is to make INNER PROCESSES VISIBLE. She works with her entire body as material and uses performative formats as a form of expression. NATURE is an essential part of her work and creates an open space for movement, presence, and encounter.
Alongside her own artistic practice, she offers workshops in which she creates NON-JUDGMENTAL SPACES for creative processes and accompanies people in exploring their own expression.
Her aim is to INVOLVE THE AUDIENCE IN THE PERFORMANCE and to create shared moments of presence and connection.
