How we perceive the world, society, and one another depends on where we look from, which information reaches us or is withheld, what experiences we bring with us, and how proximity and distance shape our judgment. The view from within differs from the one from outside. Perspective shapes reality.

In an interdisciplinary exhibition of photography, painting, and installation, hase.studio invites the festival audience to engage with four artistic positions that offer different perspectives and to critically reflect on their own perception.

Jascha Müller-Guthof examines traces of decay in the United States in an analog photo series, thereby questioning the country’s hegemonic self-narrative.

Katharin Ahrend provides insights, through a multi-year documentary photo project, into the lives of children in the West Bank in Palestine, directing attention to a humanity that often disappears from public discourse.

Noah Becker takes viewers on a visual journey through personal experiences and social observations, which he maps in large-scale paintings between self-reflection and critical commentary.

Ruba Salameh uses abstract painting as a means of remembrance, mourning, and resilience, entering into an artistic dialogue with Palestinian artists and traditions.

In addition to the exhibited works, interactive zones in the outdoor area invite visitors to make their own inner thoughts visible in creative ways and to engage in exchange with one another.

The exhibition is accompanied by a musical and artistic supporting program. For current details and program updates, visit hase.studio on Instagram: @weisestr.22
