Will our queer–trans ideology turn your children into monsters?
Right-wing propaganda thrives on provocation and the instrumentalization of crises to produce an illusion of security. By deliberately manipulating narratives, new enemies are constructed that generate media attention and reinforce fear.
Under the pretext of protecting children, queer people are framed as a threat. Drag queens/kings/quings are accused of causing so-called early sexualization, while progressive trans legislation is portrayed as leading to a supposed dominance of trans people that will destroy the future of children and turn them all trans.
Disturbing Glory stages the absurdity of these constructed arguments and pushes them to their limits. Combining them with elements of body horror, the work reflects the lived realities of trans people, experiences of dysphoria, transformation, and the constant negotiation of the body.
