Look alikes
Tarik Burnash

A look-alike is someone who unexpectedly reminds
us of another person—not because of family ties,
but through a shared presence, gesture, or
appearance. Tarik is interested in these moments of
resemblance. He likes observing people, watching how
facial expressions echo each other in public space.
Through observing others, we don’t just notice
similarities—we begin to recognize something
unfamiliar and new about ourselves, and maybe
understand ourselves a little better.
