NAKED ARTISTS – Open Life-Drawing Sessions & Exhibition

Rather than seeing rigid boundaries, life drawing allows us to experience the inner and outer human as intertwined, dynamic spaces full of meaning and possibility. In our sessions, we sharpen our awareness of both what we can see and what is invisible – how the person presents themselves, what defines them, what we perceive and reflect in the drawing.

Real forms transform into lines, abstract fragments, and flowing transitions – full of personal traces. We bring this approach into our practice: How can the relationship between inner and outer space in the body be captured? Which interesting fragments can be explored, and how can expectations be challenged? How can identity, belonging, and character be made visible in drawing, beyond clear contours, fixed forms, or what we expect? And what happens when you pose yourself, making your inner world visible to others? Does the inner define the outer, the outer the inner, or both?

For 48 Stunden Neukölln, we invite visitors to explore these questions first-hand: in open life-drawing sessions, anyone can draw or pose and become part of the process. At the same time, we will present an exhibition of drawings created during our year-round sessions, complemented by the works made during the festival. This creates a living dialogue between past and present, inner and outer space, observation and expression.
