Borders in Blue

Borders in blue is a digital collage composed photographs taken in Karataş, Adana. Within these compositions, where sky and sea, nature and city merge into one another, colors and structures gradually lose their clear boundaries. As the distinction between the natural and the artificial dissolves, a visual field emerges in which the outside becomes inscribed within the inside, and the inside extends outward. Rather than presenting a simple narrative of the city replacing nature, this work addresses the gradual disappearance of agriculture in Adana — a city historically rooted in farming — and, in parallel, the increasing restriction of local production in Turkey.
