It could be so nice. Here in this pastel-colored microstate, the world is still in order. Together, we are building the seat of government, which of course belongs to all of us. More fun and games, more solidarity, more equality. No inhumane conditions. Just start from scratch!
But the political situation in the rest of the world cannot be ignored so easily. Does the rise of right-wing populist ideas perhaps have something to do with us after all?
With a mixture of clownish characters, puppetry, and audience interaction, the play presents a parody of current political issues and the so-called status quo of our democracy. The privilege of the protagonists is highlighted in a self-deprecating manner with a trashy children's room aesthetic. It is easy to look for the problem in others: the Nazis, the AfD voters, the conservatives. But in the end, we all participate in a system that distinguishes between locals and foreigners, between rich and poor, between social and antisocial.
