The guiding idea of “Boundaries in Motion” serves as a conceptual figure for the exhibition. Boundaries are understood as processes—temporary states between separation and connection. Similar to biological, technical, or social systems, they function both as structures that organize and as interfaces that mediate, at once separating and connecting.

In the works of the two artists, these boundaries become directly perceptible. They appear as contact zones between body and space, object and movement, individual and collective.

“Boundaries in Motion” does not simply describe a movement from outside to inside. Rather, it suggests a relationship that oscillates and continuously transforms. Inside and outside are not fixed conditions but emerge again and again through perception and action.

The exhibition presents itself as an open space between humans and their surroundings, artwork and visitors. Those who enter the space do not merely move through the works; they become part of a system whose boundaries shift through attention, movement, and interaction.

Biography

Oskar Faller & Felix Faller

Oskar works at the intersection of craft, technology, and sculpture. Using methods such as 3D printing, CNC milling, and traditional woodworking, he develops kinetic and light-based objects. His practice is shaped by his work as a carpenter and model maker, as well as by his role as an engineer. Experimentation is an important part of his process, where hands-on experience and technical methods come together.

Felix understands art as social sculpture. In performances, video works, and participatory installations, encounter, dialogue, and collective experience are central. In his YouTube series “Neue Perspektive”, he works with people from Neukölln and actively involves the audience in the artistic process.
