Between poetry and melancholy: Andreas Liebert captures the spirit of our time with keen observation and precise language. Stripped down to guitar and vocals, his songs inhabit the spaces between everyday moments – small observations, unanswered questions, and quiet hopes become tangible. His lyrics are in German, drawing on the tradition of the Hamburger Schule, a 90s movement known for thoughtful, literate songwriting and a mix of indie rock and introspective pop, with artists like Blumfeld, Tocotronic, or Die Sterne. These influences blend into restrained, compelling melodies that linger.
With his latest EP 'Mondlandung', Liebert turns his attention to these in-between spaces. A quiet moment in the loud now. Songs about what it means to live, to love, and sometimes simply to endure. His music captures fleeting moments and lets them resonate – subtle, clear, and close to the lyrics.
