4 July 2026 12:00–22:00 5 July 2026 12:00–17:00
For this year's festival, FabLab Neukölln is organizing a group show under the festival theme OUT/SIDE/IN, using the garden and grounds as both inspiration for as an extension of the exhibition.

The central work is a large free-hanging circuit-sculpture consisting of individual nodes. Each references a piece of data taken from the outdoor surroundings of our space. Members of our lab and the public will be invited to assemble a sound, image or movement based node and add it to the overall sculpture, such that the overall form of the sculpture will evolve throughout the festival.

The nodes are inspired by techniques from the circuit-sculptures of Mohit Bhoite and involve representing the circuit connections spatially using brass-wire and techniques from jewelry-making, electronics and soldering. Nodes will be aware of each other and nature and speed of interaction between them will change the more contributions are made.

Biography

We are a collective of technicians, tinkerers, artists, programmers, and inventors who work at the Fablab Neukölln makerspace. We are a place that combines various forms of manufacturing and design with code and creativity—through our collaboration as a programming school and coworking space.

Our lab offers people of all kinds the opportunity to work, meet, network, and exchange knowledge—from synthesizer construction and textile design to software development. Together, we can explore techniques such as 3D printing, laser cutting, woodworking, and circuit design. For more information, visit: fablabnk.de, 42berlin.de, and workish.berlin
